Basketball season, at least for Big Red, came to an end last night when Liberty lost in the first round of the Big South Conference Tournament when VMI upset the Flames before a huge crowd at the Vines Center. VMI goes on to face Winthrop which will probably end the Keydets season also. For Big Red, it was a great game. Busy the whole night. And because of some type of interference, probably from the extra television coverage, we were unable to keep up communications between our booth and the trailer. So Tank and Paul had to run twice as much. Actually, I was so busy Tank had to keep making me batter in between his runs back and forth. But, they are both young, plus I had to make sure Tank was in shape for this weekend in Richmond. So, basketball is over. A sad day for Big Red. Seriously, it has kept us busy for the winter months. A period not known for funnel cake sales. By next year, I feel sure we'll expand that and do more than just Liberty games. For now, it's a cleaning day and then off to Richmond.
